Lilac Lodge located in Siren, Wisconsin

Siren, WI was originally named Syren which is Swedish for lilac. The postoffice thought it was a misspelling and changed the name to Siren. Lilac Lodge honors the original name and recognizes the history of the community.

Trailhead Lodge and Gateway to Wisconsin Northwoods

Designed for the perfect fit to the building site and its natural surrounding. Developed in 2024 Lilac Lodge sits on a 3 Acre property in Siren, WI which includes an abundance of Tree and Plant Species Native to North West Wisconsin. Privacy is provided by towering Red and White Pines as well as Oaks and Birch.

The Lodge is centrally located near the crossroads of Highway 35 and State Rd 70 making it a great place to start and end your Northwoods getaway. Easy access to neighboring destinations and natural recreation areas including Webster, Danbury Areas and Spooner, Shell Lake Areas. Easy access to Gandy Dancer Trail. The ideal location offers access to all activities and events the Northwoods has to offer.

The Lodge

​Lilac Lodge is a 1792 SqFt home constructed in 2024. It consists of 2 bedroom and 2 full bathrooms with large loft space which is open to below. The design of the home was to maximize functional space within a smaller footprint and to maximize natural outdoor spaces. It was drawn with features popular to traditional cabins including a large 420SqFt Patio, covered porch extending the entire length of the structure, and large loft recreation space perfect to make memories year round and in any weather.

Wildlife spotted on the property include Wolf, Black Bear, Deer, Fox, Squirrels, and a Diverse Bird Population

Area is popular destination for Boating, Fishing, ATV/UTV Trails, Hiking, Hunting, Snowmobiling, Ice Fishing, Relaxing, Summer and Winter Celebrations.

Meet the Builders

Lilac Lodge was drafted and designed by Corey Anhalt and named by his spouse Taryn. The building was constructed by the whole family including daughters Divinity and Elle. Corey is a landscape designer and contractor by trade.

 

The Anhalts purchased the property and spent much of the later part of the summer of 2023 selectively landclearing with chainsaws and skidloader. Once there was adequate space the family camped on the property while continuing to excavation and construction of the structure.

 

Corey worked on the structure full time in 2024. The Anhalts Completed Excavation, Framing, Insulation, Windows, Doors, Siding, Interior Finishes. An excellent team of subcontractors helped with Concrete Finishing, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Drywall Texture and Finish.   

 

The Anhalt daughters Divinity and Elle were involved in all aspects of the construction of the home.
